Overview
What it does.
Boilers fail slowly and then all at once. Tube wall thins, efficiency drifts down, fuel cost drifts up, and the first unambiguous sign is often a leak in a plant that cannot stop.
Re-tubing restores the unit rather than replacing it. Where the shell and tubesheets are sound, a full set of new tubes rolled and sealed brings the boiler back to its rated output at a fraction of a replacement, and without the shutdown a new installation would need.
We do the work in our workshop where the boiler can be moved and on site where it cannot, including tube removal, tube-end preparation, rolling, and the pressure test that follows.
