Compressors

Reciprocating, screw and centrifugal machines supplied, overhauled and recommissioned — with the wearing parts held for the ones already under contract.

Part of our Compressor Overhauling service line — we supply, install and maintain it, not just sell it.

Overview

What it does.

A compressor is the most expensive thing to run in most plant rooms and the most expensive thing to lose. Both facts point the same way: condition matters more than nameplate, and a machine drifting off its curve costs more in power than the overhaul would have.

We supply new units and we rebuild existing ones. The rebuild is usually the better answer where the frame is sound — bearings, seals, valve plates and a set of clearances brought back to drawing restore the duty without touching the pipework, the base or the controls.

Spares are held for the machines we maintain. That is the difference between a breakdown measured in hours and one measured in weeks waiting on a shipment.
