Overview
What it does.
An air-cooled chiller rejects heat straight to atmosphere, so it needs no cooling tower, no condenser water pumps, no water treatment and no legionella regime. For most commercial buildings that simplicity outweighs the efficiency advantage of a water-cooled machine.
The number that matters here is capacity at *your* design ambient, not at the standard rating condition. A chiller rated at 35 °C ambient and installed somewhere that reaches 48 °C is a materially smaller machine than its nameplate suggests — we quote capacity at the site condition and state it plainly.
