Overview

What it does.

Inlet louvres do three jobs at once: admit air with minimal resistance, stop water splashing out of the inlet, and block the daylight that drives algae growth in the basin.

Missing or broken louvres show up as wet ground around the tower and green growth in the basin — both symptoms of the same fault, and both cheap to fix.
